Mid to late 80s it changed from RJ's(?) to Charlene's. I'd guess around 87/88 time.

I think that was a bookies last time I saw. Was it RJ's, or JR's before it was called Charlene's?

The burgeoning hipster crowd will enjoy Bar 90 and the Crate Brewery. Also the Trumans brewery do open days.

Don't forget ROOF EAST.

Tried to persuade some of our lot up there before a game last season, before I learned that seating was limited due to the temporary roller skating rink that had been installed for the family fun day.

Re: Post Match Drinking
Ironically, long before the O/S move was even spoken about, I remember sitting in the Little Driver on Bow Road, it was my local pub at the time and I remember on a match day, pre match being in there for a couple of pints and being surprised how dead it was and that they didn't get more passing trade of people walking from Bow Church to Bow Road. How Ironic that it will now be a busy boozer before our games at the O/S. Always liked the place, decent little garden out the back too.

On a separate note I seem to remember probably about 10 years ago now there being a bar further up Green Street called Mo's and sitting outside it on a hot summers day after a match, not been up that way since or ever hear about. What was that place and what happened to it? It looked pretty new when I was in there, anyone shed any light?

What's that social club in Plaistow that's near the train line, I walked past it after the Southampton match on the way to Plaistow station.
